Die Lachmöwe (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Möwen (Laridae). Mit einer Körperlänge von 35 - 39 cm und einer Flügelspannweite von 86 - 99 cm ist diese Art die kleinste regelmäßig in Mitteleuropa brütende Möwe. Im etwa von Anfang März bis Juli vorhandenen Prachtkleid ist der Kopf dunkel schwarzbraun, die Augen sind schmal weiß gerandet.

The black-headed gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) is a small gull that breeds in much of Europe and Asia, and also in coastal eastern Canada. This gull is 35 - 39 cm long with a 86 - 99cm wingspan and is the smallest gull breeding in Central Europe. The summer adult has a chocolate-brown head, pale grey body, black tips to the primary wing feathers, and red bill and legs.
